From game to a real batch
SimSeller white paper · October 2026 · a statement of direction, not an offer
In one paragraph
SimSeller teaches the marketplace business by letting you run it: pick a niche, order a batch, set prices, buy ads, live through returns and the cash gap. We want the game to lead somewhere real. Our direction is to let players who have proven themselves in the game run a real batch of goods on a real marketplace. We are not there yet, and we will not take anyone's money until the legal side is settled country by country. This page explains the path and the rules we hold ourselves to.
Why
A simulator is only as good as its connection to reality. Players who learn to read demand, manage stock and survive a slow month deserve a way to test that skill on the real thing — with real goods, real buyers and real numbers, not with a score.
The path
Step 1. Virtual trading on real data. Your batch is virtual, but the market around it is not: real categories, real price levels and real sales dynamics from a live marketplace. No money goes in or out; every result is virtual. This is where the game is heading first.
Step 2. An open "shadow batch". We plan to run a real batch ourselves and publish its numbers in the Backstage: what we bought, what it cost to land, how it sold, what came back, and the final result — including a loss, if there is one. In the game you will run the same batch and compare your decisions with what actually happened. Players' money is not involved in this step.
Step 3. Real batches for players. Only after a written legal review in every country where it becomes available, and only under a separate agreement that spells out ownership of the goods, returns, losses and how money is paid out. Until then, this step is a direction, not a product.
Principles
- Skill first, not money. Access to real batches, when it opens, will depend on how you run batches in the game — not by how much you could put in.
- You make the decisions. The point is your own judgement on goods, prices and ads — the same decisions you make in the game.
- One batch, one ledger. Every real batch will be accounted for separately, with open numbers: cost, sales, returns, fees, result.
- Real trading can lose money. Goods can sell slowly, come back or not sell at all. We will say this plainly, every time.
- No shortcuts on the law. We will not take money from players anywhere before the legal review for that country is done.
Questions and answers
Can I put money in now? No. We are not accepting money, applications or commitments of any kind.
When will real batches open? We don't give dates. Step 1 comes first; each next step starts only when the previous one works and the legal review is done.
Which countries? Not decided. It depends on the legal review in each country, separately.
What if the goods don't sell? In real trading that is a real loss. This is exactly why we start with virtual batches and an open shadow batch: so everyone can see how real batches actually behave before any real money is involved.
Will I need to be good at the game? Yes. Access will depend on how you have run batches in the game.
How do I follow this? Join the waitlist on https://simseller.games and read the Backstage — the shadow batch, when it starts, will be published there.
This page describes the direction of a game project. It is not an offer, an invitation to invest, a financial product or financial advice. SimSeller does not accept money from players for trading. Any real trading, if it becomes available, will require a separate agreement and a legal review in the relevant country.
